Bio
Hi, I’m Phillip Slaughter, a photographer with a passion for visual art. Growing up, I started at a young age, with a 110 film camera shooting all types of photos. After learning how pricy and long it took to develop film, I graduated to a 35mm film point and shoot followed by a vintage Konica 35mm SLR camera, with several manual focus lenses. I learned the art and technique of photography through this camera. In college I worked as an intern, for a large utility company in Dallas and saved up for my first Digital SLR camera. It was a Nikon D70s, and I was like a kid at Christmas. Fast forward, and after graduating from Texas A&M University - Commerce with a bachelors in Radio/Television, I learned a lot about capturing and telling stories and developed a passion for sharing them with others.
After developing an idea for a freelance photo business centered around wedding photography, I founded Oath Photography. Get it, Oath, as in a promise, like at a wedding?!?
Since founding Oath Photography, I have shifted the business to work more with small to medium sized businesses in the area.
I currently live in Frisco, Texas and am proud to work with Visit Frisco on many of their photo/marketing campaigns. I work with Frisco Life Magazine on nearly every issue, shooting many of the cover images. I have also worked with clients like Dirty Hands Candle Co., Texas Health Resources, Providence Church, Huang Acrylics, Sky Ranch Camps, Toyota Financial Services, and many health care providers in North Texas.
In addition to Photography and Videography, I work with several organizations to update, maintain, and grow their online presence including medical offices such as Magnolia Dermatology of Frisco, Conceive Fertility Center, and other local practices.
